(Statesville, NC) June 24 – Doctors Roshnara Singh, Mary Torres, and Margot Wacks of PHC Women’s Center are pleased to announce that Laura Randolph, DO, MS, FACOG has joined their practice and is now accepting new patients at their OB/GYN office located at 1804 Davie Avenue, Statesville, NC 28677.

Laura Randolph, DO received her Masters of Science in Biology from Purdue University located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She then became a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. With training as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Randolph takes a total-person approach to health care encompassing the mind, body, and spirit of the patient. After receiving her DO, she completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. Dr. Randolph is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, S.T.A.B.L.E., Emergencies in Clinical Obstetrics, and Intermediate Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring. She is also a Certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Following her residency, Dr. Randolph spent 4 years in the United States Air Force. For 2 years, she lived in Idaho at the Mountain Home Air Force Base serving as the Element Chief, Infection Control Chair, Student Coordinator, Pharmacy & Therapeutics, Committee Member, and Immediate Disaster Team Member. She then went on to the Royal Air Force Lakenheath in the United Kingdom where she took on the role of Medical Director. While in the UK she was also a Perinatal Committee Chair, a Patient Safety & Quality Liaison, a Credentials Committee Member, a Hospital Morbidity & Mortality Committee Member, and a Surgical Disaster Team Member.

“I am passionate about improving quality of life,” Randolph said. She continued, “Women’s lives are more complex and demanding than ever and we tend to sacrifice our own well-being to care for those around us. We have to learn a better balance. If we are at our best physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, then it positively impacts everyone around us.”

In addition to general Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Randolph is trained in Laparoscopy and DaVinci Robotic Surgery. The DaVinci Robot is a state-of-the-art tool used for minimally invasive surgery. Although the instrument is a robot, physicians perform the procedure by controlling every movement from a console. Dr. Randolph performs DaVinci Surgery at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Laura Randolph, DO is an avid traveler and has been to 45 countries thus far. “I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and learning about their culture and way of life,” Randolph said.
