For Heriberto “Eddie” Torrealba, practicing medicine is about more than just treating symptoms—it’s about building a bridge of trust with every person who walks through the door. Now part of the Gastroenterology team at Piedmont HealthCare alongside Dr. Lamm and Dr. Marion, “Eddie” brings a wealth of international experience and a heart for patient education to the Statesville community.
Heriberto’s journey in medicine began in Venezuela, where he served as an Internal Medicine physician and Gastroenterologist for many years. After moving to the United States, he chose to continue his calling as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, combining his deep clinical knowledge with a hands-on, nursing-centered approach to care. Whether he’s managing digestive conditions or helping a patient navigate a new diagnosis, his goal is to make sure you leave the office feeling heard, respected, and empowered.
Being bilingual in English and Spanish, Heriberto “Eddie” Torrealba is especially passionate about making sure language is never a barrier to great healthcare. He believes that when patients truly understand their health, they can make the best decisions for their lives.
When he’s not at the clinic, Heriberto is a true local at heart. You might find him serving at the local Catholic Church, relaxing to the sounds of Latin or Jazz music, or tackling a DIY project in his yard. Most importantly, he loves spending quality time in Statesville with his wife, Elina, and their energetic 7-year-old Aussie-doodle.
