Statesville, NC – Piedmont HealthCare is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Kevin Lamm to its gastroenterology team. Dr. Lamm will begin seeing patients at PHC Gastroenterology starting September 10th, 2024.
Dr. Lamm brings a wealth of expertise and a deep passion for gastroenterology and hepatology. His decision to pursue this field was driven by both professional and personal motivations. Professionally, Dr. Lamm is drawn to the dynamic nature of gastroenterology, which allows him to balance outpatient and inpatient care, perform intricate procedures, and solve complex clinical problems.

On a personal level, Dr. Lamm’s dedication to gastroenterology is fueled by his wife’s diagnosis with Lynch Syndrome, a hereditary condition that increases the risk of gastrointestinal cancer.
Dr. Lamm’s decision to join Piedmont HealthCare is rooted in a deep, long-standing connection with the organization. “PHC is more than just a practice to me—it’s home,” he shared. His relationship with Piedmont HealthCare began long before his medical career, as his mother was the group’s first accountant. This unique insight into the practice, combined with the supportive mentorship of Dr. Reindollar and the camaraderie with his colleagues, made PHC the perfect fit.
At Piedmont HealthCare Gastroenterology, Dr. Lamm will focus on comprehensive liver care, inflammatory bowel disease, and cancer screening. He is particularly passionate about managing liver disease, from preventing cirrhosis to advocating for liver transplants. Additionally, Dr. Lamm places a strong emphasis on early cancer detection and prevention, striving to catch conditions like colon, stomach, and liver cancer at their most treatable stages.
Originally from Statesville, Dr. Lamm attended Statesville Christian School. Having later met his wife, Zion, in medical school. Zion, originally from Seoul, Korea, is a vibrant and energetic presence in Dr. Lamm’s life. Together, they have a one-year-old daughter, whom Dr. Lamm affectionately describes as “the cutest in the world.” Outside of work, Dr. Lamm enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
