Dr. Michael Schlesinger is pleased to now offer High intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) treatment for prostate cancer here in North Carolina. In October of 2015 the FDA approved the Sonablate HIFU treatment system for the ablation of prostate tissue. Since 2008, Dr. Schlesinger has treated over 30 patients with HIFU at an offshore location.
