
The numbers are in! On February 7, 2015, the American Heart Association hosted the 40th Annual Iredell County Heart Ball at the Statesville Civic Center. Thanks to the generous donations and support from local community members and business leaders, the Iredell County Heart Ball celebrated its most successful, raising over $175,000 that will further the American Heart Association’s mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. All funds raised at the Iredell County Heart Ball benefit heart disease and stroke research and prevention education.

A record-breaking attendance of 460 guests enjoyed a silent and live auction, a gourmet dinner and live music by Mo Money. Co-chairs Dr. Robert Kimball, Marian Kimball, and Mae Jackson of Piedmont Healthcare led the event to success with the assistance of their committee of other local business leaders. A special Open Your Heart moment was shared highlighting Evan Geisler, a three year-old heart disease survivor, and his mother and father, Travis and Carrie. The life of Keenan Kimball was also honored at the event.
