DESCRIPTION:The Statesville Police Department (SPD) is kicking off of the 2024 Fill the Trailer Toy Drive\, a community initiative aimed at spreading holiday cheer to families in need. Many families in our community face financial hardship and are unable to provide the extras that make the holiday season special for their children. With your help\, they can make a significant difference and bring joy to these families. \n\n\n\nDonation Ideas\nThey are welcoming a variety of gifts\, including: \n\nBoard games\, cards\, travel games\, puzzles\, and books\nSports-related items\, including footballs\, basketballs\, soccer balls\nElectronic handheld or portable games\nManicure sets\, hair & nail accessories\, fragrance sets\nHat & glove sets\, scarves\nArt & drawing supply sets\, craft sets\, educational toys\nRemote controlled vehicles\, toy cars\, action figures\, dolls\n\nPlease note that they cannot accept gift cards\, monetary donations\, clothing\, stuffed animals\, or food items. \n\n \nDonation Drop-off Location\n\n\n\nDonations can be dropped off at the Statesville Police Department Headquarters located at 330 S. Tradd Street\, Statesville\, NC 28677\, in the designated drop-off area through December 13\, 2024. \nFor those who prefer to contribute via online shopping\, you can also order gifts through Amazon here and have them shipped directly to SPD Headquarters using the QR code. \n\n\n\n\n\nAdditional Toy Drive Dates\nTo make it easier for the community to participate\, SPD officers and staff will also be present at the Walmart Supercenter at 1116 Crossroads Drive on the following dates: \n\nSaturday\, December 7\, 2023\, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM\nSaturday\, December 14\, 2023\, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM\n\nLet’s come together as a community to make this holiday season extra special for families in need.
